ULCCS to launch international Institute on co-operative governance

ULCCS , the 94 year old Co-operative will establish an international institute on Co-operative governance, structure and management.says Sri.Rameshan Paleri, Chairman of ULCCS. It will be launched in association with International cooperative alliance, University of Western Australia and Institute of Rural management, Anand. The institute envisages to provide capacity building and skill development for policy makers and managers of co-operatives in the advanced areas of cooperative management, governance and structure in tune with the future of work India has been blessed with 25 percent of co-operatives of the world. Across the world co-operatives provide employment to 10 percent of working force or employees.

ULCCS will launch massive dairy entrepreneurship programme to promote dairying as one of the lucrative ventures in the state. Society's integrated dairy cold chain project will process the milk and move for value addition. Producers will get additional incentives through value addition and export of dairy products. The dairy plant can handle up to 10000 litres of milk per hour. It will be implemented in five districts of Malabar region. ULCCS will launch massive extension programmes to improve production, productivity and maintain quality of products along with convergence with information and communication technology. Says Dr.T.P.Sethumadhavan, Director of UL Education. It will establish round the clock call centres and veterinary help lines. The proposed project will have convergence with integrated agriculture project of Nochad Grama panchayat on Kozhikkode. Society will organise cluster based dairy producer system and the dairy units will be in the model of startups. Minimum size of the unit will be five cows. ULCCS will pursue for meaningful collaboration s with pioneering dairy instituions within the country and abroad. Moreover it will implemented customised Skilling programmes required for dairy and agribusiness sector and will promote the concept of safe to eat across the state.Project will provide be infrastructure facilities for appropriate input supply through establishing Total milk ration plant, ration balancing, precision breeding and management practices.Block chain technology and internet of things will be used for residue monitoring and logistic management in nutrition, animal health, breeding, value addition and marketing
